  • Pompano Beach - On Feb. 24, the Pompano Beach High School Baseball Team won the Broward County Athletic Association Tier 2 Championship. The Tornadoes defeated South Plantation 4-4, Monarch 9-2, and Pembroke Pines Charter 4-3. Ryan Ward went .545 (batting average), Vincent Martinez .471 with 5 RBI’s, Daviano Riba .385 with 4 RBI's, and Evan Russo .385 was awarded MVP. [Krystal Martinez]
